Finalists for the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) 2016 RAMMY Award for Beer Program of the Year have exciting special events and promotions planned for May 2 through May 6. During that week, the five finalists will showcase their outstanding offerings through in-house promotions, reaffirming why they deserve to win one of the region’s premier industry accolades—a RAMMY Award. Guests are encouraged to come out and support their favorite watering hole throughout the week.

The week of May 2, any guest who posts photos at a RAMMYS beer program finalist location using the Instagram handle @RAMWdc and hashtag #RAMMYSBeer will be entered to win a pair of tickets to the 2016 RAMMY Awards Gala on June 12. Winners will be contacted via Instagram before the RAMMYS.

The winners for all categories will be announced at the 34th Annual RAMMY Awards Gala on June 12 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The Arsenal at Bluejacket

To celebrate The Arsenal at Bluejacket recently being named a RAMMYS finalist and to highlight its commitment to food and beer pairings on every level, Bluejacket will be debuting the Big Train Burger with a week-long vintage beer pairing for $18. Each day the new burger, which is topped with smokey onion rings, jalapeno relish, aged cheddar and steak sauce, will be paired with a brew hand-picked from our cellar of vintage rarities by Beer Director Greg Engert.

Granville Moore’s

Granville Moore’s is hosting an exciting array of events for beer lovers in the Atlas District. On May 2, fans are called to “Drain the Drafts” and enjoy 30 percent off all drafts from 8 p.m. until close. May 3 brings “Tour de Geuze,” during which the bar will spotlight hard-to-come-by Belgian brews from Wetten Importers. On May 4, Granville Moore’s is teaming up with fellow finalist Right Proper Brewing Company for a special beer dinner as well as 25 percent off all Trappist beers. Thursday, May 5 is a chance for patrons to take a sneak peek into the restaurant’s “Stuff We Don’t Want to Share,” such as its newest reserve and hard-to-find brews, while guests on Friday can celebrate the end of the week during “Yes We ‘Can,’” a spotlight of local and canned Belgian beers.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon

Jack Rose Restaurant & Beer Director, Nahem Simon presents the "Barrel-Aged Collaboration Celebration,” a week showcasing five rare, exclusive barrel-aged brews, paired with their barrel-holding counterpart, whether that be bourbon or a cocktail. Jack Rose will also showcase five rare barrel-aged beers from the 50/50 Eclipse collection, featuring annually-released brews aged in various bourbon barrels paired with their respective whiskey drams. At the Saloon Bar, Simon has curated a Beer Supper Plate, featuring five rare beer tastings not usually available by the short pour, paired with seasonal snacks from Chef Russell Jones. Right Proper Brewing Company is tapping into its ever-changing beer selection from May 2 to May 6 to showcase the breadth and quality of its offerings. As a highlight on May 3, Right Proper will showcase one of its aged vintage beers, which has remained untouched for several months to develop nuanced taste and characteristics. Right Proper will announce its offerings throughout the week on social media (@RightProperBeer).
