This month is cause for celebration as Firebirds Wood Fired Grill marks two special occasions. First, the restaurant, known for its scratch kitchen, warm hospitality and classic American cuisine infused with bold flavors, fresh herbs and spices, has introduced its Winter Features menu, featuring freshly prepared seasonal dishes such as Chipotle BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp and Wood Grilled Twin Filets. Second, the polished-casual restaurant recently eclipsed $750,000 in donations raised for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).

"With colder days ahead, our Winter Features menu provides guests with a variety of warm, hearty dishes made from richly flavored, fresh ingredients," says Firebirds Executive Chef Steve Sturm. "We have added a twist to everyone's favorite winter meals, providing our guests with a taste of the familiar but with bold flavors that are perfect for the season."

Available only from November 30 to January 3, the Winter Features lunch menu offers a delicious, pepper-crusted Bleu Cheese Burger topped with wine-sautéed portabella mushrooms, Chile Spiced Calamari tossed with sweet chile sauce and Chipotle Glazed Chicken served on a salad of shaved Brussels Sprouts and Spinach. The dinner menu includes Chile Spiced Calamari, Shaved Brussels Sprouts Spinach Side Salad, Wood Grilled Twin Filets, Chipotle BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp and Parmesan Crusted Chicken. Guests can also enjoy Banana Cream Pie topped with chocolate and salted caramel sauces with lunch or dinner.

Firebirds is also partnering with California-coast winery Meiomi to offer 2014 Meiomi Pinot Noir and 2014 Meiomi Chardonnay for a limited time at participating locations, excluding Pennsylvania locations. Full descriptions for the Winter Features menu can be found here.

Guests looking for the perfect holiday gift for friends and family are encouraged to purchase Firebirds gift cards. Between now and January 3, guests will receive $20 in bonus cards for every $100 gift card purchase.

In addition to unveiling its Winter Features menu, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is also celebrating its $750k fundraising milestone for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a national charity that focuses on funding cutting-edge treatments to ultimately find the cure for childhood cancer. In this partnership, Firebirds donates $1.25 to the foundation for every glass sold of fresh-squeezed lemonade.

This year marks the 12th year since founder Alexandra "Alex" Scott issued a challenge to volunteers to help raise $1 million for a childhood cancer cure. One cup of lemonade at a time, served in all 41 of its locations, Firebirds has risen to the challenge.
