Hurricane Grill & Wings, a tropical-themed full-service restaurant franchise, continues its national expansion with the opening of its first restaurant in the state of Louisiana in Lafayette.

Before opening a Hurricane Grill & Wings restaurant, franchisee Baylen Morse operated a local pool care company. His first job in the fast-casual restaurant industry has strongly influenced his decision to own and operate a business. As his childhood dream of owning his own franchise comes full circle, he has plans to open additional locations throughout Louisiana.

“I first came across the term ‘franchise’ when I was 16 and working at a local McDonald’s. I became fascinated with the overall business model,” says franchisee Baylen Morse. “I began doing research and ultimately selected Hurricane Grill & Wings for their fresh, flavorful menu, and strong corporate support system.”

Hurricane Grill & Wings is known for its more than 35 signature flavors of award-winning, never frozen fresh jumbo wings. Flavors range from traditional buffalo sauces to an array of unique options that include Ancho Chile Lime, Teriyaki and Raspberry Ice and can range in heat intensity from Calm Seas to Evacuation Route. Additionally, guests can customize their own burgers using the new Build-A-Burger menu feature, including a variety of savory toppings and delicious flavors. The location will also offer entrees such as seafood, salads and sandwiches which can be paired with sides like Crispy Sweet Potato Straws, Garlic ’N Parm Broccoli and Jumbo Onion Rings.

Hurricane Grill & Wings new Lafayette location features an indoor dining that seats up to 170 people and an outdoor patio that seats 27. Guests will also be able to choose from a variety of 24 drought beers and 65 bottle options, including locally crafted beers such as Abita Amber and CaneBreak from Parish Brewing.

“The opening of this new location exemplifies a milestone for Hurricane Grill & Wings and we are pleased to partner with Baylen to help expand the brand to new territories,” says Martin O’Dowd, president of Hurricane Grill & Wings. “His unique business experience plays a key role in elevating the brand in Louisiana and we look forward to his success in the Lafayette community.”
