The casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube announced it signed a franchise development agreement with Cedar Fair to develop a new restaurant at Cedar Point amusement park and resort in Sandusky, Ohio.

The restaurant marks the 18th Quaker Steak & Lube location in Ohio and will create close to 125 jobs for the Sandusky community. The new Lube is located adjacent to the Castaway Bay indoor waterpark/resort, and is scheduled to open May 2015.

“Partnering with such a great amusement park will allow us to expand our presence in Ohio and gain valuable knowledge on the tourism industry, and we are looking forward to continued success in the Buckeye State,” says Greg Lippert, president and CEO, Quaker Steak & Lube.

Cedar Point is consistently ranked among the largest and best amusement parks in the world.

“At Cedar Point, our goal is to provide our guests with the best food options during their visit to the park and we are confident that Quaker Steak & Lube is the perfect addition to our restaurant lineup,” says Chris Miller, vice president of food and beverage for Cedar Point.

In 2014, Quaker Steak & Lube opened eight new restaurants in Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey. The company has more than 55 locations across 16 states.
