Redrock Canyon Grill opened its first restaurant in the Kansas City area. The restaurant will welcome customers to enjoy Southwest- and American-style cuisine in an energetic and causal environment.

Redrock Canyon Grill opened to the public on Tuesday. The bar opened at 4 p.m. and the restaurant will open at 5 p.m., to delight customers with its unique Southwest- and American-style cuisine. Located at 13505 Metcalf, in Overland Park's upscale Corbin Park, it is settled in one of the nation's most vibrant communities.

"Since the day we opened the first Redrock Canyon Grill in 1999, the fun here hasn't stopped," says Jeremy Brim, Hal Smith Restaurants area partner. "We are extremely excited to bring Overland Park friends and family together for a memorable dining experience."

The eatery offers menu selections such as its signature wood-fired rotisserie chicken (made fresh and in the restaurant), fresh seafood, and wood-grilled steaks and chops. Guest favorites include: Redrock's Famous Iron-Skillet Cornbread, Mama's Deviled Eggs, Short Smoked North Coast Salmon, John "B" Good Chicken Enchilada Platter, Millionaire's Shrimp and house-made Key Lime Pie.

Redrock Canyon Grill offers a Southwest-style ambiance, in an upscale, but still casual, atmosphere. The lively exhibition kitchen, that is central to the restaurant's concept, defines the comfort-food experience and allows guests to watch meal preparation using the freshest ingredients. A Redrock tradition includes celebrating the sunset nightly by ringing the bell and raising the patio shades.

Redrock Canyon Grill is owned by Hal Smith Restaurants based in Norman, Okla. The company opened the first Redrock Canyon Grill in Oklahoma City in September 1999. Currently, there are five other Redrock Canyon Grill locations: Norman, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Southlake, Texas, and Wichita, Kansas.
