Scotty’s Brewhouse, in Indianapolis, will host a 20th Anniversary Parking Lot Party from noon to 10 p.m. on October 1, with live music from Mike & Joe, The Why Store, and The Chosen Few.

“I wanted to pick bands that were popular when I was in college and when I opened the original Scotty’s in Muncie in 1996,” says Scott Wise, president and CEO of a Pots & Pans Production, the management company for Scotty’s Brewhouse, Thr3e Wise Men Brewing Co., Scotty’s Dawghouse, and Scotty’s Brew Club.

“And, of course, I wanted to have an event that we could celebrate with all the 10,000-plus alumni that have worked with me over these past 20 years and the alumni of all the universities that we have grew up in and have supported us all these years,” Wise adds. “We welcome kids and families until 6 p.m. or so and then it is time to cut loose for all the adults with a group ‘cheers and toast’ around 8 p.m.”

Scotty’s Brewhouse will celebrate its 20th year in business with several throwback-to-1996 pricing specials, celebratory anniversary items for sale, and ongoing promotions throughout the remainder of the year. Celebratory anniversary items include the Alumnus Double IPA, with only 475 brewed and bottled, individually signed and numbered by Scotty, and a hand-selected, 20th Anniversary 10-year aged Knob Creek Bourbon Bottle, hand-etched with a plaque. Both can be bought at any of their 17 locations.

Scott Wise opened the original Brewhouse in 1996 in his hometown of Muncie, Indiana. With the opening of the Oxford (Ohio), Champaign-Urbana (Illinois), and Plainfield (Indiana) locations this fall, the company will have 19 locations in the Midwest and Florida.

Beginning at noon, an outdoor bar will begin showing college football games and local food truck Karma Kitchen will vend throughout the day. The parking lot Beer Garden will include beer trucks from include: Thr3e Wise Men Brewing Company, Scarlet Lane, TwoDEEP, Flat 12, Triton, and Taxman Brewing. A full liquor bar will also be available.

As an all-ages-welcome event until 6 p.m., special gaming areas will include Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Skee Ball, Sumo Suits Competition, Basketball Pop-a-Shot, a face painter, a balloon artist, a 50/50 raffle benefiting Dayspring Center, and a Dunk Tank with a chance to dunk Scotty himself (he will be in the tank from 2 to 3 p.m.). Come grab a picture with Scotty from 1 to 2 p.m. Commemorative items will be for sale throughout the day, including a 20th Anniversary T-shirt.

Mike & Joe, The Why Store, and The Chosen Few will all take the stage from 4 to 10 p.m. for a live show to close out the event.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at a discounted Early Bird price for just $15 through Scotty’s website.

Also available for purchase are Scotty’s Anniversary Party VIP tickets, which include access to the party as well as a commemorative 20th Anniversary T-Shirt, $20 Gift Card, and “front of line” exclusive access to the Beer Garden throughout the day.
