Burger fans from across the East Coast submitted their own creations for Zinburger’s fifth annual Burger Contest.

For the first time, the upscale burger concept expanded the contest rules to include protein options other than Certified Angus Beef. After careful review by Zinburger chefs of the record 214 submissions, the top three burgers to make the cut are:

Florentine Burger—Seared Salmon topped with Sautéed Spinach, mild herbed Goat Cheese, Tomato, and lemon dill mayo.

Maker’s Queen Brie—Certified Angus Beef patty topped with sautéed onions, Bosc Pears caramelized with butter, brown sugar and Maker’s Mark Bourbon, topped with triple cream brie, slathered with house made Maker’s Mark Ketchup.

Big Pig—Andouille/Certified Angus Beef blended patty, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Bacon Onion Jam, Smoked Mozzarella, Garlic mayo.

The winning burger, picked by Facebook fans, will be featured on the Zinburger menu for one week at the 12 east coast Zinburger locations. The winning chef will also receive a $100 gift card.

Winner will be announced on October 7 and the winning burger will be served the week of October 17.
