Restaurant Development Group (RDG) of Jersey City, New Jersey, is pleased to welcome Chef Edward Radich (formerly of Restaurant Associates, OX, and Marco & Pepe) as the new chef de cuisine of Raval, the highly anticipated Spanish Tapas Bar and Lounge concept opening in Jersey City on Newark Avenue’s restaurant row in January 2015.

Chef Radich will work alongside the RDG group’s executive chef, Michael Fiorianti, to bring the Spanish tapas culture to Jersey City.

“We are pleased to have Chef Ed on the Raval team," says RDG partner Michael Garcia. "He was an early pioneer in the Jersey City restaurant scene when he opened the acclaimed and popular OX restaurant, and is a long-time resident of Jersey City. His culinary talent and understanding of Jersey City will surely support RDG in its mission to enhance and shape Jersey City’s dining landscape.”

Raval is the newest project from the successful team behind Lucky 7 Tavern and Satis Bistro. Named after the trendy Barcelona neighborhood, Raval is a contemporary supper club set on two floors. The upstairs restaurant and bar (seating 30 for dining and 20 at the bar) will serve Executive Chef Fiorianti’s inspired menu of modern Spanish tapas for dinner and brunch.

The dark and sexy lounge downstairs, seating 40, will have handcrafted cocktails and house-made sangrias, and a regular program of DJs.
