Ali Group announced organizational changes at several of its operating companies that are effective September 1.

Rob August will assume the role of Vice President of Business Development for Ali Group North America. August will work out Ali Group North America’s Chicago corporate office and report directly to Filippo Berti, Chief Executive Officer of the Ali Group.

August began his career with the Ali Group in 2006 as Executive Vice President of Champion

Industries and in 2008 transitioned to Beverage-Air where he was appointed President a few years later. In 2014, he took over the presidency of Ali Group North America – Refrigeration Division, which includes the Group’s two North American refrigeration brands, Beverage-Air and Victory Refrigeration. During his tenure within the Ali Group, August played an integral part to the overall success of the companies.

Erik Nommsen, currently President of the Champion Group (Champion, Moyer-Diebel, Bi-Line, and Trysis), will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Ali Group North America – Refrigeration Division. In addition, Nommsen will also be gaining the title of Chief Executive Officer of the Champion Group thus the General Managers of Champion Industries and Moyer-Diebel will continue to report to him. He will report directly to Filippo Berti, Chief Executive Officer of the Ali Group.

Nommsen returned to Champion for his second appointment as President of Champion in January 2016. His first tenure lasted six years, from 2008 to early 2014, during which he played an integral part to Champion’s growth and overall success.

Will Means will take over the role of General Manager of Champion Industries (Champion, Bi-Line, and Trysis). Means will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Champion Industries and will report directly to Erik Nommsen, Chief Executive Officer of the Champion Group. This will allow Nommsen to dedicate more time to the Refrigeration Division.

Since joining Champion Industries in 2008, Means has held positions of progressively increasing responsibilities, including a role working directly with Ali Group North America’s finance department while completing his MBA at Wake Forest University. He has most recently served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Champion Industries.
