American Blue Ribbons Holdings announced the appointment of Kurt Schnaubelt as Chief Financial Officer for its four restaurant concepts and award-winning bakery company.

Schnaubelt, with more than 27 years of leadership within the restaurant industry, joins ABRH after more than 10 years at AlixPartners, an international advisory firm where he was a Managing Director and co-lead their Restaurant, Hospitality and Leisure practice.  Before joining AlixPartners, Schnaubelt was chief financial officer (CFO), executive vice president, and board member of Rita Restaurant Corporation (successor to Avado Brands, Inc.); CFO of Avado Brands (96 Don Pablo’s and 22 Hops restaurants); and CFO of Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizzeria (90 restaurants).

Schnaubelt has a Master of Science in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Science in hotel administration from Cornell University. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager.

Based in Nashville, ABRH owns and operates over 500 restaurants under four concepts including O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar, Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub, Village Inn and Bakers Square. Additionally, ABRH owns and operates Legendary Baking, an award-winning baker of over 26 million gourmet pies and premium desserts per year sold to restaurants, independent bakers, retail/grocery customers and other food service customers
