New Jersey, you better get a big napkin because Arooga’s bringing its game and famous wings to The Garden State.

Arooga’s and entrepreneur and investor Cordell Toson, President of Toson Food and Beverage, which announced a multi-unit franchise agreement in 2015, opened the brand’s first Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar in North Plainfield on May 28. The new restaurant at 1250 Route 22 East is the first of at least four locations in in Union & Somerset counties of New Jersey.

The North Plainfield Arooga’s offers guests a 7,300-square foot restaurant with a view of every game from every seat. Arooga’s has a diverse menu featuring fresh, made to order items created with high quality ingredients, which includes many organic and gluten free options, and not to mention their Buffalo Wing Festival award-winning wings. The equally impressive bar features handcrafted cocktails made with real fruit juices and premium spirits and 44 beers on draft including national and local craft favorites.

“We are super excited to bring our first location to New Jersey and can’t wait to show the good people of North Plainfield what Arooga’s is all about,” says Gary Huether, Jr., president and co-founder of Arooga’s. “We’re confident that Cordell and his team of seasoned restaurant veterans will strengthen our brand and make Arooga’s the best sports bar in The Garden State.”

“New Jersey has never seen a restaurant and sports bar like Arooga’s,” says Toson. “Their leadership team and I share a true passion for excellence, consistency, and quality, all of which will be on display when we open our doors on May 28th.”

Since opening its first restaurant in Harrisburg, PA in 2008, Arooga’s has strived to offer its guests the ultimate sports bar experience by offering the latest trends in technology and service, and has also paved the way for sports bars everywhere to offer guests healthy dining alternatives by sourcing clean ingredients that are free of antibiotics and hormones, and in many cases certified organic.  Arooga’s began franchising in 2014 and in addition to 10 corporate locations in Central Pennsylvania, Arooga’s currently has franchise locations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island in operation, with locations in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Massachusetts currently under development.
