Estrella, a Yucatecan-inspired cocktail club and restaurant overlooking the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, is opening on Thursday, Aug. 30. Housed atop Bazati—an all-day destination for shopping, dining and imbibing—Estrella will feature a buzzing open-air bar, umbrella seating and a lush list of bubbly and classic Latin cocktails, such as Hemingway daiquiris and pisco sours.

One of Mexico’s most highly regarded chefs, Roberto Solis created the Yucatecan menu, and Chef Cam Floyd will helm Estrella’s kitchen as chef de cuisine. Floyd spent time learning Yucatecan cooking techniques and mastering each recipe at Solis’ acclaimed Nectar in Merida, which is considered by many as one of Mexico’s finest and most innovative eateries.

Solis’ cooking techniques are influenced by the region he calls home, with traditional staples transformed by fresh and surprising ingredients, such as flowers, herbs and spices. Guests can expect both shareable small plates and main dishes rooted in Mexican specialties, such as ceviche and adobo chicken and regional Yucatecan specialties, including cochinita spring rolls and chayitas. Wines and spirits will reflect and marry these innovative flavors, from sparkling wines to Latin cocktails.

Inspired by its name, meaning “star” in Spanish, Estrella will dazzle in the carefree style of mid-century Miami and the modernity of present-day Merida. Guests lounging among the space’s soft outdoor seating can enjoy Latin strains and Atlanta’s only gin and tonic tableside cart—all offered against an outdoor backdrop with stunning, skyline views.
