In America, one in six children lives with hunger and summer can be the hungriest time of year for kids who rely on the free meals they get at school. With the school year coming to a close, bd’s Mongolian Grill has teamed up with No Kid Hungry to help. From May 10 through June 9, guests of bd’s Mongolian Grill will have the opportunity to make a difference by enjoying a meal with purpose.

bd’s Mongolian Grill is inviting guests to join them in the fight against childhood hunger and donate to No Kid Hungry by purchasing a pin-up slip for $3. Pin-up slips will decorate the restaurant to show support for the cause and will encourage guests to make every meal count. Guests who purchase pin-up slips will receive a $5 bonus card to use on a future visit.

“Giving back to our community is a core value at bd’s, and I am proud to be part of a team dedicated to serving others,” says Doug Willmarth, Chief Marketing Officer at bd’s Mongolian Grill. “The bd’s family is thrilled to be a partner with No Kid Hungry and help all children get the nutrition they need.”

Every year, kids across the nation who rely on school meals struggle to get enough food during the summer months when school is out. A lack of consistent, good nutrition can have a long-term impact on a child’s health and development.  No Kid Hungry is on a mission to help more kids get access to better meals throughout the year, but especially during the critical summer months. No Kid Hungry helps community groups launch and operate summer meals sites where kids can eat breakfast and lunch for free.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from bd’s Mongolian Grill,” adds Diana Hovey, Senior Vice President at Share Our Strength, the organization behind the No Kid Hungry campaign. “With the help of committed partners like them, No Kid Hungry is helping children all over the country get the food they need to succeed.”
