Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse, the preeminent eatery and carnivore’s paradise, which pays homage to time honored traditions built on authenticity, quality and consistency, is opening a new Manhattan location in the heart of Midtown East.

In 2005, Ben & Jack’s opened its namesake restaurant at 44th street, a stone throw away from Grand Central Station by four longtime veterans from the iconic Peter Luger, Sparks and Manhattan Grille. The Sinanajs’ are excited to continue their legacy once again where it all started, at their historic flagship restaurant, which closed on December 31, 2012, as the building was being torn down. Instead of turning their back on their employees, leaving them without jobs, they opened another restaurant off 5th avenue. Their new upscale-casual 4,800 square footage restaurant at 219 East 44th St. between 2nd and 3rd Avenue has a guest capacity of 190, occupying space at the EVEN Hotel, owned by the InterContinental Hotels Group—a boutique wellness focused hotel and modern sanctuary for travelers who want to stay active, but rest easy with a grand opening set for April 27.

Rather than adapt with the times to find the next ‘big idea’ in food, Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse has stayed true to its roots by building a sustainable business. The family empire will continue their recipe for success with classic dishes prepared to perfection, without needless frills, prime dry-aged steaks, and delectable seafood that speaks for itself. Executive Chef Admir Alibasic will continue to push the boundaries of the simplicity of ingredients and enriched flavors, while putting a spin on the ordinary, to transform his dishes into works of art. The restaurant will also be adding some new menu items to their repertoire.

The restaurant’s design is modern, and stylish, defined by an urbane and inviting atmosphere with classic oak wood furnishings and business casual dress code, accompanied by predominantly male waiters, dressed in full white garb. Their menu draws inspiration from bold flavors, market-fresh ingredients, and an extensive wine list, which plunges deeply into the character and affinity of their menu. This beloved family owned establishment has already made a significant cultural impact on the steakhouse culinary genre, contributing to the resurgence and impact of the thriving NoMad neighborhood and above all, providing an all-around exceptional dining experience for those with big appetites.

With the EVEN Hotel’s design space focusing on stress-free living, inspiration and increased productivity, Ben & Jack’s will also be offering amenities and room service to patrons, to accommodate their “happy place,” which include signature favorites as well as lighter fare options to be announced shortly. However, the restaurant will not significantly overhaul its traditional red meat menu. And with warm weather right around the corner, patrons will be able to dine and sips cocktails at their beautiful outdoor garden, with open, warm lighting and lots of greenery.
