Boardroom Spirits, the craft distillery based in Lansdale, is excited to make their debut as an integral part of Montgomery County’s newest restaurant, Northbound. Opening today in the newly rehabilitated former SEPTA train station in Souderton, Northbound is a collaboration between the team behind Butcher and Barkeep in Harleysville and Boardroom Spirits.

“Partnering with a local distillery was imperative for our operations, but in reality, we were thrilled to be able to work so closely with Boardroom on this project,” says Cody Ferdinand, co-owner of Northbound. “Collaborating with another Pennsylvania company in order to further support other Pennsylvania companies was really important to us.”

“We want to promote all that this state has to offer – not just from the Boardroom line of spirits, but also from our friends that are brewers, winemakers, contractors, designers, you name it,” adds Marat Mamedov, co-owner and founder at Boardroom Spirits.

The craft distillery is known for their emphasis for creating clean distilled spirits by using real ingredients, particularly the FRESH line of infused vodkas, as well as their inventive Periodic Table of Spirits line distilled from fruits and veggies like beets and carrots. Boardroom’s license from the PLCB grants them five satellite locations, one of which is now being used to operate the bar at Northbound.

The 1,700-sq. ft. restaurant, designed by Foreground Design, also has 2,000 sq. ft. of outdoor seating space. Custom banquettes are fitted to the original buildings large bay windows and accented with dark wood, amber glass, and clustered bulb chandeliers. Located at 2 West Broad Street in Souderton, the restaurant will be open for dinner service starting at 5 p.m., seven days a week and expanding to full hours next month: Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with brunch served until 4 p.m. The menu, developed by Butcher and Barkeep chef Jeff Sacco, includes handmade pastas, Detroit style pan pizzas, regional inspired sandwiches, smoked meats and fresh seafood – all of which will fluctuate with seasonality and availability. Vegetarian and vegan options can be found throughout the menu. Pre-prohibition inspired cocktails made with the entire Boardroom and Northbound Spirits will be available alongside Pennsylvania made beers, wines, and ciders.

A retail shop is also located inside the restaurant where patrons can purchase the full portfolio of Boardroom Spirits’ as well as a new line of Northbound specific products that will include a line of Northbound whiskies, Spiced Rum, Vanilla Vodka and other collaborations and limited release product.
