Back by popular demand, the Chicken Salad Fruit Plate has returned to Bob Evans, and two new salads made their menu debut this week—just in time for the summer months. Guests can enjoy the new Caesar Salad with Fried Chicken or the Chef Salad when craving lighter fare that’s fresh all season long.

“We did not offer the Chicken Salad Fruit Plate last summer on our menu, but didn’t anticipate the immense following and demand for this beloved dish,” says Robert Fradette, vice president of marketing communications at Bob Evans Restaurants. “With an overwhelming response from our guests—we heard you loud and clear, and we’re just as excited that it’s back.”

The famous Chicken Salad Fruit Plate features all-white-meat chicken salad mixed with juicy grapes and crisp celery atop a bed of lettuce surrounded by plenty of fresh fruit all for only $10.99. The seasonal array of hand-cut daily fruit includes fresh strawberries, grapes, pineapple, bananas and cantaloupe.

Bob Evans also is introducing a culinary twist to the classic Caesar Salad with Fried Chicken, which is available for only $8.99. Additionally, guests can upgrade to fried shrimp or grilled salmon. The Chef Salad is a hearty option featuring slow-roasted turkey with Bob Evans signature spice and herb seasoning, hickory-smoked ham, hard-boiled egg, cucumber, tomato, and other tasty toppings for only $7.99. All items are served with a choice of freshly baked bread.

“For more than 70 years, we have held true to serving up warm, authentic hospitality and bringing farm-fresh food to the tables of America,” says Fradette. “Whether meeting for a business lunch or dining with the family, Bob Evans is excited to serve the high-quality, contemporary home-style cuisine our guests have come to love and expect.”
