Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, the casual dining concept that combines both a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar under one roof, closed out the first half of 2017 with impressive mid-year growth marks. Boston’s enters the second half of the year with 22 franchise agreements signed for new or emerging market development. All of the franchise agreements signed in the first two quarters of the year are for multiple units and will double the brand’s nationwide footprint.

Most recently, the brand signed a multi-unit agreement to open its first location in Massachusetts. The two-store signed deal will debut the brand into the state and will bring approximately 60 new jobs to the area. The first of the two locations is expected to open this year. In addition, Boston’s has signed a two-unit deal in North Dakota, a three-unit agreement in California bringing the total restaurant count in the state to four and finally, a large-scale agreement to expand the brand’s presence in Texas.

“Our mindset is to offer our guests a truly unique dining experience, and we believe the recent expansion numbers speak for themselves,” says Eric Taylor, President of Boston’s. “It is clear that there is a national demand for our concept and as we continue to grow, our focus will continue to be on catering to those seeking quality food and drinks in a welcoming and fun atmosphere.”

At the beginning of the year, Boston’s set a company goal to reach 40 signed agreements by the end of the year and with the strong performance in Q1 and Q2, the brand is on pace to reach that milestone. Earlier this year, Boston’s launched a brand refresh, which more closely aligns the company to its Canadian counterpart, Boston Pizza.
