Buffalo Wild Wings Serving Conor McGregor's Whiskey Nationwide

July 10, 2019 Industry News

Buffalo Wild Wings is teaming up with Conor McGregor to bring his record-breaking Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey to sports bars across the U.S. Proper No. Twelve’s Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey is an ultra-smooth blend of golden grain and single malt with hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood for a rich complexity.

“I was incredibly impressed when I met with the team from Buffalo Wild Wings, and I gave them my personal commitment that my brand would help drive value and excitement for their guests,” McGregor says. “We are coming into the whiskey space and giving consumers something new and exciting. This is just the beginning for Proper No. Twelve and you should expect much more from me and my brand in the coming months and years.”

McGregor spent years developing the brand, working with master distiller David Elder, previously of Guinness, to bring the whiskey to life. It is produced at the oldest distillery on the isle of Ireland in an area known for its rich soil and pure spring water.

“Many ask where the name Proper No. Twelve comes from, and it has true meaning to me,” McGregor adds. “I was born and bred in the Dublin suburb of Crumlin, Dublin 12—thus Proper No. Twelve. And my success can be traced from the lessons I learned growing up, the values of loyalty and hard work. Proper No. Twelve is who I am.”

McGregor’s story is one from humble beginnings as a plumber receiving social welfare to becoming one of the top athletes in mixed martial arts. McGregor is a former MMA champion, headlining four of the top MMA pay-per-views. He also squared off with Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match that drew the second-most buys in combat sports history.
