Antunes announced Chef Joe Arvin as the company’s corporate chef. In his new role, Arvin will work closely with Antunes’ sales, marketing and product management teams, expanding the company’s culinary thought leadership in commercial foodservice equipment.

Arvin joins Antunes following seven years as chef and equipment spokesman for an international foodservice equipment manufacturer. He brings with him a wealth of culinary experience that not only includes multiple tenures as an executive chef, but also restaurant consulting, television appearances and professional competitions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Joe Arvin to the Antunes family,” says Tom Krisch, executive vice president of sales and marketing with Antunes. “His years of experience as a celebrated chef, consultant and spokesman will greatly complement our sales and product management teams. As we continue to add to the diverse talent at Antunes, we are strengthening our commitment to bring the very best to our customers and make them successful.”

Arvin entered the foodservice industry after earning his culinary degree at Baltimore International College. His travels abroad inform a deep understanding of international food and have fostered a particular specialty in Mediterranean and Italian cuisines.

Additionally, Arvin is a three-time champion of the Chicago Culinary Fight Club and has starred as a featured chef on the televisions shows Chopped, Big Brother, Cutthroat Kitchen and The Taste. Last year, he finished sixth at the World Food Championships, competing against more than 400 culinary teams.

Chef Arvin looks forward to demonstrating his new menu creations with Antunes equipment at the upcoming 2018 National Restaurant Association Show on May 19-22 in Chicago, Illinois.
