Just in time for the busy summer season, Choice Organic Teas, the original organic tea company in the U.S. and first in the country to introduce Fair Trade Certified teas, launched a new line of Foodservice Iced Tea Filter Pouches.

Tea is the second most popular beverage in the world after water, and 85 percent of tea consumed in the U.S. is iced tea, which means the convenient new pouches are the perfect addition for busy foodservice operators working to meet the demands of the iced tea consumer. In addition, with the growing demand for organic and natural offerings in foodservice and consumer requests for more transparency and “clean” ingredients, the market for organic beverages is growing rapidly.

Designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind, the iced tea filter pouches come in three of the most popular iced tea flavors: Black Iced Tea, Mango Black Iced Tea, and Peach Black Iced Tea. Each one ounce iced tea filter pouch yields one gallon of freshly brewed organic iced tea and each case contains 25 pre-proportioned filter pouches ideal for a multitude of brewing methods including hot brew, automatic brew, concentrate, and cold brew.

All three of the new iced tea blends are carefully crafted with natural fruit flavors and tea leaves sourced from the finest organic tea estates in the world. Black Iced Tea is a classic iced tea that is bold and flavorful with a brisk, bright character and auburn hue. Mango Black Iced Tea is an artfully blended black tea with a tropical twist and luscious natural mango flavor. Peach Black Iced Tea is a robust black tea blend that evokes the essence of ripe peaches.

“Consumer demand for organic goods continues to increase at a double-digit growth rate,” says Heather Byers, national foodservice sales director for Choice Organic Teas. “Our three new organic foodservice iced tea pouches were developed to help foodservice outlets meet this increase in demand. The Choice Organic Teas iced tea filter pouches offer premium, organic iced tea in a convenient format that is ideal for the bustling foodservice world.”
