Chowbotics Appoints Warren Manzer VP of Foodservice Sales

Chowbotics appointed Warren Manzer Vice President of Foodservice Sales. In his role, Warren will be responsible for selling the company’s products to cafeterias, convenience stores, and restaurants.

“I’m excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Chowbotics,” says Warren. “Over the next few years, I believe automation will be an important trend in foodservice. Chowbotics has launched a revolutionary product for the space, in the form of Sally the Salad Robot. I’m excited to take it to market.”

Warren brings more than 25 years of sales management experience in foodservice, commercial, and consumer products channels to his new position at Chowbotics. He most recently served as President of Foodservice at Clipper, a smallwares and uniform supply company, where he worked with major national customers including Burger King, Darden, and Denny’s. Prior to Clipper, Warren served as a Senior Vice President of Sales at Crown Brands. Warren spent the early part of his career at Panasonic, where he acted as National Accounts Manager for its commercial foodservice and hospitality divisions.

Recently selected as a finalist for Fast Company’s 2018 World Changing Ideas Awards, Sally delivers precise portions and serves up vibrant, forward-thinking salads in places where fresh, made-to-order food might not otherwise exist. Cafeterias, convenience stores, restaurants and hotels, among other commercial venues, are locations that can use Sally to bring healthy, delicious food to consumers. Sally’s key differentiator is that it offers more than 10,000 custom salad options. Salads are created in approximately a minute with any combination of up to 22 ingredients. Users can fine tune the calorie total by adding or subtracting ingredients via a touchscreen. The technology used in Sally can be adapted for customizable fruits, yogurt, breakfast, Asian bowls and more in the future.

Chowbotics has been recognized by The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bloomberg Pursuits, CNN, CNBC, WIRED, TechCrunch and many more influential national publications for its creation of Sally and the robot’s impact on the foodservice industry. Fast Company named Sally as part of its feature story titled “10 Restaurant Innovations Changing the Way We Eat.” The San Francisco Business Times named Chowbotics as one of “Five Companies Reinventing the Way Restaurants and Consumers Do Business.”
