Leading Korean foods manufacturer Chung Jung One will feature its Premium Korean BBQ Sauces & Marinades and Gochujang Mayo at the 2017 National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago. The seasoned culinary team will also share new ways to enjoy the spicy, tangy, savory flavor of its hit Gochujang Korean Chili Sauce with show attendees.

Starting with Chung Jung One’s own recipes for traditional Korean BBQ sauces, each Premium Korean BBQ Sauces & Marinades product infuses pure soy sauce with the flavors of apple, pear, garlic, black pepper, and savory miso to transform grilled meats and vegetables into an exotic Korean food adventure.

Gochujang Mayo blends Chung Jung One’s Gochujang into a creamy mayonnaise to deliver a spicy, umami-rich flavor perfect for spreading, smearing, dipping, and more. Ready to use straight out of a convenient squeeze bottle, Gochujang Mayo is the perfect condiment for dishes that benefit from a rich yet balanced sweet-heat.

“Building upon the success of our Gochujang Sauce collection released in the American market in 2014, we look forward to continued growth in the region with the expansion of our product line,” said Brian Tompkins, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Chung Jung One. “Beyond the consumer audience, chefs across the market have embraced gochujang, incorporating the ingredient into a spectrum of modern cuisines. At this year’s NRA Show, we are excited to showcase our products specific to the professional audience and demonstrate creative ways that top chefs put a twist on traditional Korean classics.”

Along with the Premium Korean BBQ Sauces & Marinades and Gochujang Mayo, Chung Jung One will exhibit its Chongga Kimchi, Korea’s number one brand of kimchi. Tangy, crunchy, juicy, and sometimes spicy, Chongga Kimchi begins with fresh ingredients at the peak of flavor. Chung Jung One’s culinary team seasons fresh Napa Cabbage and Daikon Radish by hand and transforms them by fermentation, achieving the umami flavor consumers crave. Additionally, a variety of gochujang products will be on display, including Chung Jung One’s critically acclaimed line of gluten-free, vegan, corn syrup-free Gochujang Sauces; the traditional Sunchang Gochujang Hot Pepper Paste; as well as a dry gochujang powder—all produced in Sunchang, a mountainous region in the North Jeolla Province in the southwest of South Korea.

These unique versions of a traditional Korean ingredient are easily incorporated into a wide range of cuisines. To demonstrate the versatility of gochujang, Chung Jung One’s team of culinary professionals will host tastings during the trade show, featuring a combination of modern and traditional menu items including Gochujang Grilled Cheese, Kimchi Fried Rice (bokkeumbap), and Spicy Korean Glass Noodles (japchae).

Additionally, acclaimed chef and restaurateur Bill Kim will educate attendees on cooking with gochujang as he leads the NRA Show Foodamental Studio session “Spice, Spice Baby,” an interactive demonstration of preparing Asian Al Pastor, which will feature Chung Jung One’s Gochujang Korean Chili Sauce.

Chung Jung One is exhibiting at the 2017 National Restaurant Association Show at booth #9455, May 20-23, 2017. “Spice, Spice Baby” will take place on May 21 from 11:15 a.m.—noon at the Foodamental Studio located in the North Hall at McCormick Place.
