ConAgra Debuts Gilardi Cheese-Filled Breadsticks

ConAgra Foodservice announced the launch of new Gilardi Cheese-Filled Breadsticks.

The breadsticks are stuffed with melted, mozzarella cheese, are CN approved, and contain 51 percent whole grains.

Boasting quality ingredients and fresh baked, self-rising dough, the Gilardi Cheese-Filled Breadsticks bake to a perfect, soft texture and offer the authentic pizzeria taste kids want. Available in two sizes to meet operators’ specific nutrition requirements, the six-inch breadsticks count as one grain and one meat alternate to your daily diet, while the seven-inch breadsticks count as two grains and one meat alternate. Branded merchandising bags are included.

“We are really excited about Gilardi Cheese-Filled Breadsticks. Throughout various focus groups and consumer tests, students told us they want higher quality, restaurant style items at school and they want it in branded packaging. These breadsticks deliver on the consumers’ flavor, visual, and quality expectations,” says Tina Bulle, director of marketing, ConAgra Foods.

Gilardi Cheese-Filled Breadsticks can be customized in many ways with a variety of different sauces and toppings including Parmesan cheese, garlic butter, and Italian seasonings. They can also be topped with cinnamon-sugar to create a unique breakfast entrée.
