Lynn Minges, president and CEO of the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, has been tapped to serve as Chair of the National Council of State Restaurant Associations.

The Council of State Restaurant Associations fosters collaboration and coordination among its 50 state restaurant association members and works in partnership with the National Restaurant Association to support over 500,000 restaurant businesses across the United States. “It is an honor to work alongside colleagues from across the country who come together through a shared vision to advance, protect and serve the foodservice industry,” said Minges.

Minges will serve a one-year term that began January 1.

President & CEO of NCRLA for six years, Minges brings vast experience to the CRSA. She works to protect, educate and promote the diverse interests of North Carolina’s hospitality industry before the North Carolina legislature and lobbies against unfair governmental regulation. The state industry represents more than $23 billion in sales annually and employs 13 percent of the state’s workforce. Minges is also a board member of the International Society of Hotel Association Executives, and the NC Travel and Tourism Coalition. She previously chaired both the National Council of State Tourism Directors and Travel South USA.
