Chef/owner Aaron Adams of Farm Spirit was presented with the award for Best Vegetables Restaurant on May 6 in Amsterdam at the We’re Smart Taste Summit in recognition for being of the 100 best vegetable restaurants in the world by the We’re Smart World organization.

This year 39 restaurants in 13 countries (3 per country) were nominated for the Award of Best Vegetables Restaurant. The other two nominees from the U.S. were The Fat Radish and CONTRA in New York. The award was presented by Frank Fol, former chef/owner of Michelin star restaurant Sire Pynnock, Dutch cuisine ambassador, and founder of We’re Smart World and the Best Vegetable Restaurants in the world awards.

Farm Spirit will also be listed in the We’re Smart® Green Guide 2019 alongside other Top 100 restaurants such as L’Arpege, Eleven Madison, Noma, and The French Laundry.

“At Farm Spirit, we strive to calibrate the community of Portland to the rhythm of the seasons. I am overjoyed and honored to receive this award and humbled to be amongst the other nominees. Most especially, I want to thank those who work in the orchards and fields to bring us the bounty that makes our restaurant possible, my talented staff, and our guests who support our mission at every dinner service,” says Aaron Adams, chef and owner of Farm Spirit.
