Food News Media, National Restaurant Association form Strategic Multimedia Partnership
Food News Media, a multi-platform B2B media company that provides award-winning content and information to the senior executives who drive and the consumer media that follows the $500 billion+ U.S. foodservice industry, announced that it will launch a new podcast series with the National Restaurant Association (NRA).
Food News Media's portfolio of brands includes: FOLIO winner QSR; top-ranked foodservice news site, QSRmagazine.com; newly launched digital resource Restaurant Management (RMGT); the OneSource product and data guide; the annual Restaurant Franchising and C-Store Foodservice magazines; and executive leadership conference Dine America.
This partnership represents a continued relationship between Food News Media and the NRA, the largest association representing foodservice operators and the Food News Media readership.
The podcasts, hosted by Food News Media Editorial Director Blair Chancey, will be released monthly and will be available free on iTunes.
"We're really trying to inform readers," Chancey says. "We're trying to leverage all of the industry expertise that we have available. But most of all the podcasts allow decision makers to continue to get their news even when they're on the go and not at their desks."
The first podcast features Chris Moyer, project manager of the NRA environmental initiative, Conserve. The Conserve Education and Recognition Program helps foodservice operators meet the increasing consumer demand for green restaurants and sustainability efforts.
"What's really nice about the program is you can pick different best practices to implement immediately," Moyer says, "but you can also create an action plan. So that way you can lay out what you want to do over the course of a year, so that way you're always making progress."

In June, Hudson Riehle, senior vice president of the research and information services division for the NRA, will join Chancey for the next installment of the podcast series to discuss the outlook of the foodservice industry's employment. In addition, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation executives will discuss ProStart, a nationwide, two-year program for high school students that develops the best and brightest talent into tomorrow's industry leaders.
