Golden Corral, the nation’s largest grill-buffet chain, welcomed Shirley Rogers Reece and Mark Nelson to its Board of Directors. Rogers Reece and Nelson bring to the board nearly 60 years of industry and leadership experience.

Shirley Rogers Reece is a global leader with a portfolio of experience that includes strategic business growth, new market development, and performance turnaround for McDonald’s Corporation. As Vice President/General Manager, Rogers Reece previously ran a development team responsible for ongoing new restaurant openings and double-digit rebuilds of aging restaurants. She also served as Vice President of Franchise Relations and Vice President of World-Wide Training. In addition to Golden Corral, Rogers Reece has served on the Boards of Directors for Ohio State University Hospital, Mt. Carmel College of Nursing, Ronald McDonald House, and Columbus Academy.

Mark Nelson capped off an impressive career with Aramark Corporation that spanned more than twenty-five years when he retired in 2016 as President of the Higher Education line of service. Prior to serving as President, Nelson held several executive leadership positions including Regional Vice President of the Southwest Region, based in Dallas and the Southeast Regional Vice President, based in Cary, North Carolina. Nelson received Division of the Year awards multiple times. Nelson began his career in a management trainee role with the Marriott Corporation after graduating from Florida State University.
