Gotham Market at The Ashland is the second culinary market from Gotham Organization, the renowned developer behind Gotham West Market in Hell's Kitchen. Located in the bustling Fort Greene neighborhood in the center of the BAM cultural district, the 16,000-square-foot market offers eight distinct dining and drinking venues, including a pop-up space with a rotating selection of Brooklyn-based restaurateurs. Located at the base of Gotham’s newest luxury building, The Ashland, Gotham Market at The Ashland is designed by Jeffrey Beers International, paying tribute to the rich architectural history of the borough of Brooklyn. Industrial materials such as exposed concrete, brick and reclaimed wood, as well as steel chandeliers, are balanced with hand-blown glass globes created by artists at the neighboring Urban Glass studios.

The market’s eight distinct drinking + dining options include:

Apizza Regionale: locally-sourced Italian fare for lunch and dinner from John Stage, founder of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, including brick-oven pizzas, charcuterie platters, house-made mozzarella and sandwiches.

Bar Granger, the market’s central bar, pays homage to Fort Greene’s band of tradesmen from the 1850s with a list of hand-crafted cocktails and wines by the glass or bottle, from John Stage and team.

Flip Bird, a rotisserie-inspired restaurant serving spatchcocked and fried chickens made with hormone-free, Amish chickens, along with chicken sandwiches and vegetable-focused side dishes.

The first pop-up to open in the market, Crown Heights-based Crabby Shack serves their signature crab favorites, including steamed Alaskan Snow Crab legs, crab roll and crab grilled cheese, as well as their new crab nachos and crab-topped shack tots, both exclusive to their Gotham Market location.

Mason Jar brings its Southern hospitality to Brooklyn, serving comfort food, house-smoked meats, 30 types of beer on tap, bourbon-based cocktails and barbecue.

MJ Station serves a selection of Mason Jar’s signature barbecue dishes, including sandwiches and smoked meats, available to go or enjoy in the market’s communal area.

In early February, Boqueria opens its first Brooklyn location at Gotham Market at The Ashland, offering guests a full-service dining experience with Spanish tapas such as datiles con beicon, patatas bravas and pulpo a la plancha, paired with Spanish wines, spirits and cocktails.

Opening in early spring, Egg at the Bird is John Stage’s third dining counter, serving breakfast sandwiches, granolas, frittatas and house-made breads, baguettes and bialys, along with coffee from Devoción in Williamsburg.
