Hopdoddy Plans to Open 6 to 8 New Locations in 2017
Hopdoddy Burger Bar, serving craft burgers and local beer with a lively neighborhood vibe, is projected to open six to eight locations in 2017 in new and existing markets. The Austin-born burger joint will make its debut in Nashville at the historic Hillsboro Village and in the budding Texas A&M Bio-corridor in Bryan-College Station. Additionally, Hopdoddy will open at least two more locations in Houston and one in Dallas–Fort Worth. In 2016, Hopdoddy opened another well-received location in Southern California, its first locations in both Houston and San Antonio as well as a second location in Arizona.
The two new markets were a target for the growing burger joint and Nashville’s expected surge of gourmet burger eateries in 2017 positions Hopdoddy as a front runner. In addition to its proximity to Texas A&M University, the Bryan-College Station location will also be a dining destination for residents and tourists alike once ATLAS, a master-planned community designed community driven business growth, opening over 2017. Success in existing markets, Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth, poised the burger joint for growth across North Texas.

Hopdoddy was created to express the perfect union of craft burgers and craft beer: handcrafted beer (Hop) + (Doddy), the nickname given to the native cow in Aberdeen, Scotland. The beloved burger and beer joint serves made-from-scratch burgers utilizing the freshest available, all-natural ingredients. Hopdoddy is dedicated to using the finest hormone and antibiotic free meats which are ground in-house and served on buns made throughout the day in the in-house bakery, alongside house-cut Kennebec fries and handspun milkshakes. In addition to the highest quality burgers, Hopdoddy maintains a strong commitment to serving local craft beers and spirits by a team of creative, authentic and free-spirited folks that are passionate about serving each guest with true hospitality, genuine care and a concern for the guest experience.
Through Hopdoddy Burger Bar’s philanthropic initiative, Goodnight for a Good Cause, the burger joint donated over $112,500 in 2016 to organizations such as Make-A-Wish North Texas, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock and more. The purchase of one Goodnight Burger donates $1 of each burger to a specific nonprofit in each market. Hopdoddy will expand the philanthropic program in 2017 to partner with additional organizations in each new market.
