With an appetite for giving back, Huddle House participated in Giving Tuesday by donating $2,000 to the Georgia chapter of the nation’s largest youth leadership development organization, 4-H.

Looking to give back to an organization that has positively impacted local Huddle House communities, the brand conducted a Facebook poll leading up to Giving Tuesday (November 27). Huddle House fans and Facebook users were encouraged to vote for a charity to give back to in honor of the international day of charitable giving, with 92 percent of votes submitted in favor of Georgia 4-H.

“Georgia 4-H is an organization that is close to our hearts,” says Alison Delaney, chief marketing officer of Huddle House. “Today’s youth are the future, and it is critical to give them positive guidance and knowledge about key life skills and future potential career paths. Entrepreneurship and drive are what established and continue to grow this brand, and we are honored to support Georgia 4-H and the Product Development Contest.”

The generous donation from Huddle House will help fund the Food Product Development Contest, where high school students come up with new product ideas, conduct consumer research, then create a business case, prototype and marketing campaign for their product to be presented at a competition. The contest promotes leadership and communication skills in the youth and expands their knowledge and appreciation for the food industry. Jenn Townsend, executive chef and director of menu innovation at Huddle House, has previously judged the competition and has served as a coach and mentor within Georgia 4-H for numerous teams.

Based in Atlanta, Huddle House restaurants have earned adoration in their communities for their warm, friendly atmospheres where every conversation, sip of coffee and bite of home-cooked meals are savored. Known for its round-the-clock breakfast, Southern hospitality and big portions at fair prices, Huddle House embeds itself into every community it serves by bringing friends and families together over delicious food served from the heart. Today, the brand has more than 400 locations open or in development.
