Tomorrow, two esteemed industry leaders, Michael Lomonaco, executive chef and partner at New York City’s beloved Porter House Bar and Grill, and Chris Himmel, president of Boston-based Himmel Hospitality Group (Grill 23 & Bar, Harvest Restaurant, Post 390, and Bistro du Midi), join forces to debut Hudson Yards Grill. Located on the fourth floor of the highly-anticipated dining collection at Hudson Yards, the restaurant combines Himmel’s award-winning hospitality approach with the inspired cooking of Michael Lomonaco, creating a casual sophistication and inviting atmosphere that celebrates the very best of contemporary American cuisine.

“Hudson Yards Grill was built on the idea of creating a place where New Yorkers want to come again and again, and where visitors can feel at home,” says Lomonaco.

“A restaurant for everyone, and for any occasion,” says Himmel. “We’ve created an environment that marries the excitement of New York with impeccable service and welcoming hospitality. We look forward to being the go-to restaurant for New York’s newest neighborhood.”

Brought to life by award-winning architecture firm, Bentel & Bentel, Hudson Yards Grill embodies New York City’s vibrant energy, with beloved dishes that are familiar, yet respectfully re-invented. A master of modern American cuisine, Chef Lomonaco set out to create a menu reflective of New York’s diverse culinary scene, mixed with regional specialties from across the United States. Southern staples like Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo and Buttermilk Fried Chicken, sit alongside Grilled Pizzas and USDA Prime Rib. A selection of sushi nigiri and maki, a specialty Lomonaco first mastered during his years at Windows on The World, include Peeky Toe Crab California Roll, Lobster Roll with Ossetra caviar and Rainbow Rolls. Hudson Yards Grill also features a large selection of entrée salads and bowls, such as Rotisserie Chicken Salad with apples, pecans, raisins and tahini dressing, in addition to Classic Cobb and Chopped Salads, plus a Grains & Greens Bowl with lentils, bulgar, chickpea, kale, and champagne dressing. Desserts highlight the classics: Hot Fudge Sundaes and Charleston Coconut Cake, among others.

The beverage program at Hudson Yards Grill, curated by Beverage Director Brahm Callahan, is easy to navigate, yet extensive, with classic cocktails like an Aperol Spritz, Mai Tai, and Hudson Yards Grill’s Signature Daiquiri, alongside an accessible wine list organized by flavor profile. For those looking to pair ML’s Blend Aged Prime Beef Burger with a refreshing beer, Hudson Yards Grill’s featured drafts include Duvel IPA, Evil Twin’s Imperial Simcoe Slacker, and richer pours like Brown’s Oatmeal Stout.

Hudson Yards Grill’s approach to hospitality and personalized service can be seen and felt in every aspect of the dining experience. From the open kitchen layout, featuring an always-rotating rotisserie and in-house bakery, to the comfortable booth seating, the space invites guests to interact and connect with the people and food around them. The restaurant’s art, perhaps its most striking feature, is curated by Melissa Twomey, offering guests a museum-like experience with over a dozen paintings and sculptures by acclaimed artists like Sol Lewitt, Damon Hyldreth, and Michael Crossett. These art installations serve two purposes—enhancing the overarching visual experience while also defining the space and creating a sense of place for guests.

Hudson Yards Grill is located on the Fourth Floor of 20 Hudson Yards and is open for dinner service, with lunch service to begin in the coming weeks. Lunch 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Dinner 3:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday .
