Huy Fong Sriracha Ketchup by Red Gold Earns Food and Beverage Innovation Award

Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce Ketchup by Red Gold earned recognition as one of America’s most innovative products for 2017. The National Restaurant Association (NRA) announced the Food and Beverage Innovation Award (FABI) by saying that the spicy ketchup is “the perfect addition of sweet heat in an operation’s condiment offering.”

“Earning an NRA FABI Award is a tremendous achievement,” says David Halt, Red Gold’s Divisional Vice President of Foodservice Sales. “The recognition is a testament to our commitment to offering foodservice operators condiments with exceptional flavor that customers will love.”

This year’s 36 FABI Award recipients were selected based on their positive benefits to restaurant operators and consumers by an independent panel of experts, representing a variety of both commercial and non-commercial industry segments.

“The FABI Awards offer restaurant operators an inside look at the future of food and beverage as the industry continues to innovate and move forward,” says Atour Eyvazian, Convention Chair for NRA Show 2017 and multiunit owner of 107 Jack in the Box restaurants in Houston and San Antonio. “It’s very exciting to discover new flavors, on-trend menu items and delicious food that’s both nutritious and allergy-friendly.” Each award recipient and their product will be showcased throughout the exhibit halls at the NRA Show 2017, held from May 20 to 23 in Chicago at McCormick Place. Operators can taste the distinctive sriracha ketchup during the NRA Show at Red Gold’s Booth 8736.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, more than 1,900 new sauces, dressings or condiments were launched in 2016 by food manufacturers. “To be one of a handful of products to be selected as one of the best through the NRA gives great joy to every Red Gold farmer, employee and foodservice operator who serves our products,” Halt says.

Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce Ketchup is available to operators in convenient portion control packets, 20-ounce squeeze bottles and 1.5-gallon dispenser pouches.
