Jabali, a hard-to-tame wild agave that is both difficult to harvest and more toxic than most species, is one rare star in the Rey Campero Mezcal portfolio. Made at a small, family-run distillery in Candelaria Yegole, just outside of Oaxaca, Mexico, it’s at once earthy, peppery, and laden with tropical fruit, complementing the spirit’s telltale smoky finish.
