The Madera Group, the LA-based hospitality company owned and operated by Tosh Berman and Amrou Manaseer, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael “Mikey” Tanha as a partner to the company and as Chief Financial Officer to its fresh-casual concept, Tocaya Organica. With more than seven years of experience in the finance industry, Tanha brings a history of success in all aspects of management, including business development and finance.

As a partner of The Madera Group and Chief Financial Officer of Tocaya Organica, Tanha will lead the company’s finance and administrative departments in determining overall financial strategy and direction of Tocaya Organica. His integral role will guide the functions of capitalization strategy, treasury, controller, accounting, tax and internal audit to pursue the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

The Madera Group’s Modern Organic Mexican restaurant Tocaya Organica includes five locations in Southern California, and is set to have 14 stores open by the end of this year. Its upscale restaurant concept, Toca Madera, is located in Los Angeles with expansion plans to open in Dubai and Scottsdale

Prior to joining The Madera Group, Tanha spent seven years in the wealth management industry catering to high-net-worth individuals, families and institutional investors.  Most recently, Tanha served as a partner at Boulevard Family Wealth, an independent private wealth management firm in Beverly Hills and prior to that, he was a Private Wealth Manager at the Private Banking and Investment Group of Merrill Lynch.

Tanha holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team.
