Marzetti Foodservice, a division of T. Marzetti Company, recently released six new refrigerated dressings in response to consumers’ increasing demand for fresher ingredients. Available in a 2/1 gallon size, these dressings are made with canola oil, sea salt and without MSG, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, or gluten.

“We’re excited that we’ve developed a formula with ingredients customers can trust and are looking for, without sacrificing flavor,” says Lee Halmagy, Marzetti Foodservice director of brand marketing. “We’ve also created several recipes utilizing these dressings that go beyond salad, such as mushroom tacos or raspberry topped baked brie.”

The National Restaurant Association surveyed nearly 1,300 professional chefs in their latest “What’s Hot in 2017” culinary forecast. They discovered that as consumers are taking greater interest in fresh, natural and simple ingredients, chefs and restaurateurs are increasingly looking for minimally processed ingredients for their menus.

“Our mission at Marzetti is to bring delicious food to the table, allowing operators to create innovative menus with high quality ingredients,” says Halmagy. “These dressings allow operators to respond to the clean label trend, but in flavorful ways.”

The six new flavors include Lemon Vinaigrette, Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette, Blue Cheese, Ranch, Caesar, and Italian, and are available now.
