Maui’s new resort by Hyatt’s Andaz brand, Andaz Maui at Wailea, has unveiled its dynamic beverage and food program, spearheaded by experienced food and beverage director Nico Scherman. Andaz Maui at Wailea has assembled the world’s top beverage and food talent, including popular New York mixologist and Hawaiian native Julie Reiner and renowned Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, to deliver simple and beautifully presented dining experiences reflective of Maui’s welcoming spirit and culture of the Magic Isle.

Innovative mixologist Julie Reiner will be guiding the resort’s beverage program, drawing much of her inspiration from her native Oahu by using the freshest fruits, premier quality spices and spirits in her original cocktails. Reiner has been elevating the cocktail scene in New York City for the past 15 years by bringing a culinary approach to her craft and will continue to do so at Andaz Maui at Wailea with her Hawaiian-inspired cocktails and punches.

The resort’s executive chef Brent Martin, will oversee multiple dining outlets, incorporating Hyatt’s Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served. philosophy which provides healthy, sustainable, and responsible food and beverage options for guests and associates. Dining options will include a full-service restaurant called Ka’ana Kitchen with dishes inspired by the surrounding land, ocean and air. Ka’ana means “to share,” and the menu will focus on farm to table small shared plates and family-styling dining. A Hibachi grill will be the centerpiece of the exhibition kitchen, where simple yet sophisticated cuisine made with locally procured ingredients will be available for breakfast and dinner.

Two poolside venues will offer guests’ exquisite locations for tropical cocktails and stunning sunset views. Lehua Lounge will exude a sense of elegance much like the flower the lounge is named after. Positioned among cascading pools and waterfalls and in direct view of Mokapu Beach, Lehua Lounge will offer authentically Hawaiian hand-crafted cocktails made with premium spirits and fresh juices. A small bites menu offering a taste of Maui will accompany late afternoon beverages, and sunset celebrations will combine music and live entertainment to create a vibe as vibrant as the surrounding scenery. Situated on the edge of the resort’s lagoon pool and near Mokapu Beach, Bumbye Beach Bar will be the venue where guests savor light morning offerings, lunch, afternoon bites, and a variety of Tiki-inspired beverages.

The Mokapu Market will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, where guests can enjoy light fare, prepared foods, flatbreads, house-made gelato, and locally sourced snacks, as well as a variety of hand-crafted soft drinks, beers, and an excellent variety of the mainland’s best wines. Suited to enhance the island vibe, Mokapu Market will serve as the supplier of sustenance to the island adventurer.

Acclaimed Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will open the resort’s signature restaurant, Morimoto Maui, which will focus on the seamless integration of traditional Japanese culinary techniques with local, Hawaiian ingredients. Guests can indulge in an outdoor dining experience steps from the beach, enjoy indoor dining in a stylized environment by the award-winning design firm Rockwell Group or unwind over cocktails in the terrace bar. Morimoto Maui will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
