Navy Yard Hospitality Group Expands with ReelHouse Marina Bay

The Boston-based Navy Yard Hospitality Group, owners of Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar in Faneuil Hall, Pier 6 in Charlestown, and ReelHouse located on the East Boston waterfront, continues to grow its portfolio starting with the opening of its second ReelHouse location in Marina Bay at 552 Victory Rd., in Quincy, Massachusetts. Situated inside the Meriel Marina Bay luxury apartment complex, the new 5,880 square-foot, 300-seat restaurant will feature an expansive dining room, patio seating with oceanfront views, and a water shuttle that will provide complimentary service to guests to and from South Boston later this Summer.

ReelHouse in Marina Bay marks the fourth venture from Navy Yard Hospitality Group, and second of the ReelHouse brand. The globally-inspired coastal menu, led by Culinary Director Chef Marc Orfaly will focus on fresh, local seafood that is both sophisticated and approachable. While the raw bar will be a highlight, starters will also include Salmon Crudo Tacos with avocado cream, lime, cucumber, and crispy wonton ($16), Citrus Cured Hamachi with grilled shishito peppers, charred onions, aleppo pepper and white soy ponzu ($18), Avocado Toast with edamame, diced tomatoes, and sourdough ($12) and Kobe Beef and Foie Gras Dumplings with stir fry cabbage and ponzu ($17).  Chef Orfaly’s playful yet composed entrees include Ahi Tuna Poke with sesame chili dressing, sushi rice and pickled ginger ($28),  Roasted Striped Bass with gazpacho, garden vegetables, kohlrabi and basil oil ($29), the Cioppino with mussels, clams, shrimp, saffron lobster both and a rouille crostini ($32), and the Chef’s Earth Bowl with seasonal vegetables, wheat berry grain salad, and lemon vinaigrette ($21), in addition to a selection of burgers and steaks to please every diner’s palate.

Behind the bar, ReelHouse’s beverage program will offer an extensive wine list, a variety of draft and bottled beers including many local craft brews, as well as a bevy of seaside cocktails, with drinks like their signature ReelHouse Painkiller with Real McCoy three year rum, orange, pineapple, crème de coconut and ground nutmeg; along with Be Right Back with Ocho Blanco tequila, muddled cucumber, ginger, lime and honey; and Hey Jealousy with Botanist gin, elderflower liqueur, green tea and lemon.

Designed by Boston-based firm, Sousa Designs, the 5,880 square foot space balances timeless elegance and comfort with ReelHouse’s vibrant, maritime atmosphere. The restaurant’s open kitchen serves as the focal point of the dining room, which features a ceiling treatment inspired from wooden boat ribs, nautical designs and modern touches of coastal New England to transform guests from land to sea. Custom booth seating adorned with Captain’s chairs line the 118-seat dining room, while seaside-inspired accent chairs and tables make up the 103-seat outdoor patio with sweeping views of the Bay. Guests can also relax, lounge and imbibe in the restaurant’s full-service bar area which holds an additional 79 seats.
