New Certifications Demonstrate DayMark's Commitment to Health and the Environment
DayMark Safety Systems, which provides the food service industry with efficient, economical, and innovative labeling systems, announces that its DissolveMark labels have been reviewed and accredited by two leading, independent, third-party testing laboratories.
These labels are designed to dissolve in any temperature of water in less than 30 seconds. In addition, the DissolveMark labels leave no adhesive residue behind that could harbor harmful bacteria.
The DissolveMark labels are used to assist in safe food rotation and to eliminate the cleaning time required to scrub labels and their adhesives off containers and cooking utensils.
In charge of the testing protocol for DayMark was Stephen Ashkin, president of The Ashkin Group, a leading advocate for green cleaning, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
"The testing confirmed that the materials used to manufacture the DissolveMark labels passed key tests, addressing specific product performance issues and to ensure the labels have no adverse impacts on human health and the environment," says Ashkin.
At the same time, CMC Group Inc. and its business units-DayMark Safety Systems, Century Label, and SmartSolve Industries-announce that the DisolveMark labels have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) transfer system.
When a product has earned FSC certification and the FSC label, it means that the forest products used to make paper-or in this case, labels-have been sourced in a more sustainable, socially responsible, and economically viable manner.
The FSC transfer system can be compared to a chain of custody. It verifies that through each step in the supply chain, including the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of a paper-related product to the end customer-CMC proactively ensures that its forest products meet FSC claims and credentials.
"These certifications demonstrate our company's continued commitment to protecting health, the environment, and promoting sustainability," says Lease Lee, marketing director for DayMark. "We are very honored to have earned these certifications and accreditations."
