udweiser announced its new Brewmaster’s Premium Barbecue Sauces. The sauces were co-developed by Anheuser-Busch and The Fremont Company, which will also produce and distribute them.

Vito Racanelli, Jr., Anheuser-Busch executive chef-on premise, culinary onnovation and the executive chef of the Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, unveiled the new sauces at the kickoff party for the 2016 Budweiser Taste of St. Louis. Co-developer and Anheuser-Busch Executive Chef Sam Niemann was also on hand for the party and announcement, held on August 30 at the Biergarten at Anheuser-Busch.

“Anheuser-Busch has the unique resources of on-staff executive chefs backed by the culinary innovations of the Fremont Company,” said Racanelli as attendees enjoyed the first public tastes of the sauce collection. “Chef Niemann and I spent more than six months refining the flavor profiles of the new sauces such that they’re worthy of carrying the Budweiser name.”

The new sauces will be available in five flavors so that home barbecue chefs can pick their favorite style to perfectly complement the King of Beers: Classic, Sweet & Smoky, Honey, Sweet & Spicy and Bold & Spicy. A limited number of the not-yet-released sauces will be made available to attendees at the 2016 Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, which will take place September 16, 17, and 18 in the Chesterfield Amphitheatre in Central Park and Chesterfield Village.

Chef Vito will also showcase the sauces in his culinary demonstration at the Goose Island School of Cooking at the 2016 event.

“We couldn’t be more honored to be the first to unveil what is sure to become a nationwide best-selling barbecue sauce collection, right here in Anheuser-Busch’s backyard,” says K. Sonderegger, co-director of the Budweiser Taste of St. Louis. “It’s a culmination of the great partnership we have had over the years with our title sponsor, Budweiser. We’re thrilled to be able to offer exciting new products – in this case that aren’t even available in stores – to our patrons.”

The 2016 Budweiser Taste of St. Louis—The Ultimate Food Experience will take place September 16, 17, and 18 in the Chesterfield Amphitheatre and Chesterfield Central Park.  Admission is, as always, free and includes access to all areas.  Popular annual attractions include Restaurant Row, the Goose Island School of Cooking, the Budweiser Home Chef Throwdown, the Stella Artois Chef Battle Royale and the Dillard’s Main Stage.
