Oktoberfest at all three of the Wirtshaus team’s restaurants and beer gardensWirtshaus, Brat & Bräu and Rasselbock—will start on September 16, with the celebration running through Saturday, October 28, 2017. Oktoberfest activities at all three venues offers SoCal residents and visitors in three distinct sections of Los Angeles—Mid-City/Hollywood, the Beach Cities and Long Beach—a cover charge-free way to revel in the lengthy German holiday; there are NO cover charges to celebrate at any of the three restaurant locations.

Hollywood’s Wirtshaus, Brat & Bräu, in Hermosa Beach, and Long Beach’s Rasselbock will all launch the six weeks of festivities with an official Oktoberfest “kick-off” at 3 p.m. on September 16, when a local celebrity guest will tap the restaurants’ respective, ceremonial Oktoberfest kegs (one at each location). The ceremonial kegs will be “on the house”; guests who are seated and purchase an entrée, drink for free from those first kegs until they run dry.

Wirtshaus’ Oktoberfest plans entail regularly changing beer and food specials throughout the celebration (specials will be posted in the restaurant, and announced on social media); live traditional German music on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the restaurant’s Oktoberfest (live music starts at 6:30 PM); and accompanying Erdinger-sponsored décor and giveaways.

Wirtshaus will also encourage guests to break out their best Oktoberfest get-up, joining the fully costumed staff who will be dressed in their lederhosen or dirndls, every weekend throughout Oktoberfest. Costume contests will occur each weekend, as will stein-holding contests.

Brat & Bräu’s Oktoberfest revelry will mimic that of Wirtshaus’, with the exception of live music. Traditional German music will be streaming and the restaurant’s staff will be dressed apropos to the party.

Rasselbock’s Oktoberfest plans will also involve much of the same as Wirtshaus’, plus Kid-Friendly “Family Sundays”, and a back-lot Beer Garden running October 6, 7, 13 and 14 (further Oktoberfest details for the restaurant group’s Long Beach location, may be found on Rasselbock’s web site).

Wirtshaus is located at 345 N. La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Brat & Bräu is located at 1342 Hermosa Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254. Rasselbock is located at 4020 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90807. Both Wirtshaus and Rasselbock are available for space rental and catering, for private or corporate Oktoberfest parties.
