Leap day birthdays are officially celebrated every four years, but now a lucky few can celebrate every month until 2016. Outback Steakhouse invites fans to visit www.facebook.com/outback to wish one of its biggest enthusiasts and loyal 12-year customer, Jennifer Barfield, a happy birthday as part of its new "BirthLeapYearDay" Facebook promotion.

The promotion, inspired by Barfield of Dothan, Alabama, who is born on leap day, is running from Feb. 22-29 to celebrate those whose birthdays come only once every four years.

In addition to celebrating Barfield, the restaurant is giving four randomly selected Outback fans that wish her a Happy Birthday in the BirthLeapYearDay tab on the Outback Facebook page an exclusive Leap Year card good for one free meal at Outback every month for four years.

"I am so excited to be celebrated by Outback Steakhouse on my special day," says Jennifer Barfield. "Us leaplings are denied that distinct day for three quarters of our lives, and Outback Steakhouse has gone the extra mile to celebrate people like me with the BirthLeapYearDay promotion. I could not be more delighted."

"We wanted to recognize those whose birthday only comes along once every four years, so Outback Steakhouse created this fun and unique promotion in recognition of them," says Outback Steakhouse Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Kappitt. "With the BirthLeapYearDay promotion, we're giving our guests more occasions to come in and celebrate with us."

Steak lovers who don't boast a Feb. 29 birthday can still enjoy the new and exciting offerings at Outback, including the Chicken Artichoke Flatbread Aussie-Tizer, the Steak & Seafood Mixed Grill, Wood-Fire Grilled Tuscan Ribeye, or the Ribs & Chicken on the Barbie.
