The P.J.W. Restaurant Group’s most prolific and popular concept, P.J. Whelihan’s, is coming to Edgmont Shopping Center in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, just in time for holiday gatherings and post-shopping get-togethers this December. Located at 4803 West Chester Pike, the 16th P.J. Whelihan’s will bring 80 full and part-time jobs to the area and celebrates the overall corporate growth of the group with its 21st restaurant launch.

Fans of the pub and restaurant can expect the same welcoming and reliable service in a fun, family-friendly environment with signature dishes like P.J.’s famous wings in 12 signature sauces plus a “wing of the month,” not to mention favorites like Loaded ‘Tater Tots—crispy tots loaded with melted American cheese sauce, bacon, green onion and sour cream drizzle ($5.99), Bangin’ Bacon Stack Burger—melted smoked cheddar, crispy bacon, sweet tomato spread and pepper horseradish sauce ($11.49) or the indulgent Salted Caramel Cookie – sweet and salty cookie dough mixed with brown butter, white chocolate, crispy pretzel bites, sea salt and crunchy Heath toffee pieces topped with whipped cream ($5.99).

The completely renovated space, formerly occupied by 3 West, is just over 7,000 sq. ft. and will feature 52 large televisions to catch the game or brush up on news from every single angle throughout the space, reinforcing P.J. Whelihan’s reputation as the ultimate game-watching destination. Designed by Stokes Architecture Design, the interiors reflect the more recent incarnations of the restaurant concept featuring warm wood tones contrasted by sleek industrial greys, exposed ductwork and decorative beams to evoke a modern and comfortable sensibility. A four seasons room, another P.J.W Restaurant Group distinctive feature, will be available for private parties while the patio will offer dining al fresco in warmer months.

“We are really excited to become a part of the Newtown Square community,” says Bob Platzer, President and CEO, P.J.W. Restaurant Group and 2017 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year recipient. “Our success has been a combination of close connections to the local community, consistently providing good food in a fun and lively environment and great team work.”
