The P.J.W. Restaurant Group will open their 15th P.J. Whelihan’s at 12 General Warren Blvd in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The Great Valley neighborhood restaurant will open to the public on Monday, September 18th with the hours of operation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily. It is the 20th restaurant in the group’s family of successful dining concepts including The Pour House (Westmont, NJ; North Wales and Exton, PA), Treno Pizza Bar (Westmont, NJ) and The ChopHouse (Gibbsboro, NJ).

The newest P.J. Whelihan’s is part of Charlestown Village, a new dining, retail and travel hub anchored by a Residence Inn by Marriott and brings more than 80 full and part time jobs to the Great Valley area. The restaurant occupies 8,289 square feet, not including the outdoor patio. Designed by Stokes Architecture Design, the space accommodates 250-seated guests with an additional 36 seats at the bar. An all-weather four seasons room is available for private parties of up to 50 guests and is outfitted with multiple televisions. A grand total of 54 televisions are spread throughout the space, living up to P.J. Whelihan’s reputation as an ideal spot to catch a game – just in time for football season.

The restaurant and pub doesn’t stray from the overall P.J. Whelihan’s concept, geared to serve families, sports fans, happy hour patrons and those seeking night and weekend entertainment. The food offerings are consistent with the other 14 P.J. Whelihan’s throughout southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania, complete with P.J.’s famous wings in 12 signature sauces, plus the “wing of the month” sauce (Ragin’ Cajun through the end of September). P.J.’s fans will be able to find all their favorite dishes, from the Loaded Tater Tots to the Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos alongside an impressive bar program featuring P.J. Whelihan’s extensive cocktail program, canned and bottled beer and 48 taps, with six dedicated solely to local craft beers.

The opening has been anticipated and welcomed by the community, as Charlestown Village serves as a central retail and dining destination for employees based out of Atwater Corporate Center, Great Valley Corporate Center and occupants of the 1,000 new residences located within one mile of the Village – as well as the guests of the Residence Inn. In keeping with the restaurant group’s commitment to the communities they serve, the Malvern location will also offer the popular Dine + Donate program, where local organizations can raise funds by receiving a portion of a specific day’s sales when guests associated with the group dine at the restaurant.

“If you told me 34 years ago, when I opened my first restaurant, that I’d have 19 more today, I don’t think I would have believed it,” says Bob Platzer, president and CEO, P.J.W. Restaurant Group and 2017 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year recipient. “It’s all a product of the amazing team of people I have the privilege to work with every day and the communities in which we operate. We’re very careful in how we choose future locations and I couldn’t be more excited to bring P.J. Whelihan’s to Great Valley.”

The P.J.W. Restaurant Group is proud to announce it will open its 21st restaurant in late 2017.
