Unusually, Rae’s Lakeview Lounge will be open this year on Christmas Eve morning, serving their popular Weekend Brunch from 9am to 2pm. For the first time in their five years, Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year—timing which won’t happen again until 2023. Rae’s will be open for brunch on Sunday the 24th, before their annual closure on Christmas Day, complete with their famous $1 Mimosas and a whole lot of holiday cheer.

Another first is the development and execution of Rae’s first Take Out Menu, which will be available seven days a week from 11am to 11pm. “Early on, we would allow for food to-go, but quality issues and expense always made it problematic,” said owner/chef Todd Morey, creator of Rae’s food, drink, style and approach. “We quit doing it completely a couple years ago, but the neighborhood has been hounding us. This time we’re packaging and implementing the program purposefully, and we are psyched with the results.”

Rae’s Take Out Menu will go live later this week, just as they launch their seasonal, Winter Dinnertime Menu. House favorites such as Beef Bourguignon and Sausage & Kraut are joining Rae’s Chicken & Dumplings this winter season: our version of this classic is a rich fricassee of roasted dark meat chicken served over a trio of sliced, Czech-style bacon dumplings. Dinner served every night, 6pm to 9pm.
