The new app from the Landsberg-based manufacturer is called Rational Remote and offers the convenience of being able to keep an eye on the Rational SelfCookingCenter from the iPhone/iPad.

"Flexibility and independence are becoming increasingly important in the kitchen. The new App can help with this. Take for example the head chef, who is writing his weekly menu or placing orders and at the same time staying connected with the SelfCookingCenter," says Jim Lund, design and consultant resource manager for RATIONAL USA.

The only requirement is that both the SelfCookingCenter and the iPhone/iPad are connected to the same network. If this is the case, the screen content of the SelfCookingCenter is transferred and displayed in full. It also allows you to directly control the SelfCookingCenter remotely. For owners of multiple units, this can also be grouped and named according to the relevant location, e.g. preparation kitchen appliance. This provides an easy way to keep a general view, even in larger kitchens.

The Rational Remote App is available for download in the App Store for free. You can also find more information at www.rationalusa.com.
