Retailers and restaurant gift card operators in the U.S. and Canada now have an exciting opportunity to work with a new market entrant. Savvy, a well-established and highly regarded Irish software company, has just launched its U.S. and Canada business to provide their industry leading gift card technology portfolio backed up by their outstanding customer service.

Savvy’s U.S. market launch is built on the foundation of a strong track record and reputation from over 15 years operating in the European market, where they already provide gift card processing and related services to over 400 retailers and restaurant operators in over a dozen countries. Savvy is now actively engaging with US and Canadian businesses building on existing USD client programs it already supports.

“Our research in this market has indicated that retailers and restaurant operators have an urgent need for Savvy’s platforms and services,” says Dave Hunter, Managing Director at Savvy. “We have identified issues with restrictive agreements on card procurement, little or no response to system development requests, a lack of tools to manage B2B services, and very high service costs. We particularly see enormous opportunity for our reporting and analytics engine which we believe is best in class.”

To support the US business launch, Savvy has hired Steve Bradbery as SVP of US and Canada. “Steve is a highly respected industry professional with extensive experience and industry connections that will help drive the success of Savvy in this market,” says Eoin Whyte, Savvy’s Sales Director. “Steve has worked with a wide range of gift card customers across the US, Canada and Europe and is ideally placed to support us in this region.”

“I am really excited with this new role and the significant potential that Savvy has in the US and Canadian gift card market,” adds Steve. “Many of the existing frustrations and limitations I have seen retailers experience and live with for a long period of time can now be comprehensively addressed with Savvy’s capabilities.”
