Coffee Flour—a sustainable global impact food—announced the appointment of food and beverage industry veteran Tom Clemente as CEO. Bringing decades of relevant experience to the team, including executive leadership roles at multinational companies, including Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Smith Tea Makers. Clemente will accelerate Coffee Flour’s growth in the United States and globally.

Dan Belliveau, the inventor and founder of Coffee Flour, remains on the board of directors and on the executive team in an advisory capacity. Clemente will report directly to the board of directors and oversee the additional members of the executive team, including Michael Keneipp (COO and CIO) and Carole Widmayer (VP of marketing and sales).

“I’m thrilled and humbled to be at the helm of Coffee Flour, an innovative, future-minded company with a global mission. Each year, 46 billion pounds of coffee cherry fruit are dumped into rivers, streams, fields and landfills as a byproduct of green coffee production—our sustainable product has the power to offset this waste by transforming the fruit into a nutrient-dense ingredient that can be enjoyed by everyone” says Clemente, “I look forward to growing our reach and furthering our environmental impact.”

Coffee Flour is available for online purchase at Nuts.com, Marx Pantry and Algerian Coffee Stores—it is also utilized as a superfood ingredient in many popular consumer goods, including Alvarado Street Bakery Breads, Earnest Eats, Seattle Chocolates and more. The product is also served on the Google Foods menu globally.
