Sushi Shop Goes Rock 'n' Roll Thanks to Lenny Kravitz
Sushi Shop New York releases the exclusive NYC Box, 32-piece sushi collection, in a box designed by Lenny Kravitz for Kravitz Design Inc. This sushi assortment, truly “Raw Like New York,” will be available for New Yorkers to order Thursday, March 29.
Sushi Shop NY opened its doors on 536 Madison Ave. in Manhattan this February, serving high quality sushi with convenience and cutting-edge class. In 2011 Sushi Shop became the leading home delivery sushi shop with more than 90 locations in Europe.
Now in the heart of Manhattan, Sushi Shop opens its delivery service and 100-seat dining space daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with wine/beer service and an extensive menu of sushi, sashimi, tatares, and other delectable dishes including select items created by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Francois Piege.
Inspired by the city's unmatched sense of freedom and creativity, the NYC Box, Raw Like New York celebrates the origins of sushi and the artist: a rough blend of colors and raw force, true to art, culture, and cuisine.
Lenny Kravitz tied three cultures–Japanese, American, and French–to the NYC Box conception, creating the design using street art as the medium to convey Sushi Shop's mission.
"The NYC Box celebrates the Sushi Shop vision coming full circle,” says Bruno Calvo, president of Sushi Shop NY. “Lenny Kravitz for Kravitz Design Inc. perfectly conveyed Sushi Shop's origins with this box design. Now our customers can celebrate with us.”
The assortment of sushi placed in the NYC Box features three fresh, American-inspired recipes: Lox & Cream Cheese Sushi, Soft-Shell Crab Futomaki, and Eby Fry California.
