Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill, a popular sports bar with four existing locations throughout the Greater Boston area, will open its fifth outpost at the Northshore Mall in Peabody this May. Located at 210 Andover Street, the 7,700 square-foot venue is sure to become home base for sports fans in the area, offering an extensive menu of American comfort food, 40 beers on tap and an unparalleled audiovisual experience with more than 70 high-definition TVs throughout the restaurant and patio.

Named in honor of Red Sox legend and North Shore native, Tony Conigliaro, Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill in Peabody will elevate the typical sports viewing experience by offering guests the best of both worlds. Sports fans will have front-row seats to every game with the restaurant’s four-sided Jumbotron TV display, large central bar and booth seating, while a private dining room offers a more intimate experience with seating for up to 38 guests. Tony C’s in Peabody will offer new features such as communal, high-top cocktail tables alongside the bar and an 817-square-foot outdoor patio with heat lamps, fans and seating for up to 54 people.

The restaurant’s décor pays homage to Tony Conigliaro and Fenway Park through the artwork dotting the walls, but the sleek and modern interior is accentuated by a massive, illuminated marquee of Tony C’s number 25 spanning the private dining room ceiling, which serves as one of the restaurant’s most notable characteristics.

Executive Chef Steve Walsh will head up the kitchen at Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill at the Northshore Mall, with a focus on incorporating fresh, mainly local ingredients into the menu of American comfort food and game day staples. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Cambridge, Chef Walsh became an Executive Chef at age 22 and spent years with the Tavistock Restaurant Collection, formerly the Back Bay Restaurant Group, at both Joe’s American Bar & Grill and The Atlantic Fish Company before joining the Cronin Group as Executive Chef.

Guests at Tony C’s in Peabody will indulge in fan favorites like the Philly Cheesesteak Wontons (crispy fried, Sriracha aioli), Fresh Potato Chips with Tony’s secret sauce, Cedar Plank Salmon (roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon lardons), and menu staples like the #25 Burger (Vermont cheddar, crispy pork belly, fried egg, smokey hoisin sauce, sesame brioche) and Chicken Conigliaro (scallopini style, angel hair pasta, lemon white wine caper sauce), which pay homage to the restaurant’s namesake.

“We are thrilled to be expanding Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill to the Northshore Mall and look forward to serving and engaging with the surrounding community where a young Tony Conigliaro first began his career and left an indelible mark,” says David Doyle, regional director of the Cronin Group. “It’s a great opportunity to continue his name and legacy in the area he called home and to play a small part in bringing his story full circle.”
