Traulsen is pleased to announce two new equipment options for its refrigerators and hot-food holding cabinets. EZ-Change Interiors are now available for Traulsen’s R&A Series and G Series products. The EZ-Open Foot Pedal is available for the R&A Series refrigerators and hot-food holding cabinets. These two new options will be launched to the industry at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show May 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

“We continue to listen to our customers so we can develop options that make their foodservice operations more efficient,” says John Davis, director of marketing and engineering for Traulsen. “EZ-Change Interiors and the EZ-Open Foot Pedal offer the timesaving convenience and ease of operation that we try to incorporate into all of our equipment.”

Traulsen EZ-Change Interiors provide quick cabinet reconfigurations without tools. Additional refrigerator space is created when Traulsen pilasters are placed over the unit’s shoulder screws and are moved into place by hand. The heavy gauge stainless steel tray slides are then installed and easily aligned in vertically labeled grooves that spell “Traulsen EZ.” The EZ-Change tray slides hold 100 pounds without bending. Heavy-duty tray slides are also available to support up to 150 pounds of product. EZ-Change Interiors save time, minimize spills and are dishwasher safe.

Traulsen’s EZ-Open Foot Pedal enables hands-free access for R&A Series reach-ins and complements the standard stay-open door feature. The EZ-Open Foot Pedal has an ergonomic design that is offset from the door and positioned close to the floor. To open the cabinet, the pedal can simply be pressed with the ball of the foot. By minimizing contact with the door, operators have both hands available to hold and manage product and trays. This option reduces the chance of spills and cross-contamination.

Traulsen, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2013, builds upon design and manufacturing standards put in place in the early years of the company’s history. These standards include crafting the highest quality products in the industry; using the most rugged metal materials; building to stringent, self-imposed specifications; developing advanced refrigeration technologies; and bringing customers the long-term cost saving and value that come from a long, efficient product life.
